Trevanna Tracks and Soundmouse team up in sync partnership

We recently covered a report published by Synchtank focusing on the “fiendish mass of complexities” around sync licensing and reporting. However, where there are complexities, there will inevitably be companies trying to simplify them.

The latest example involves a pair of firms: sync clearance and licensing software company Trevanna Tracks and music and cue-sheet reporting firm Soundmouse.

They have teamed up to make it easier to move song metadata from the former to the latter, improving the process of generating cue sheets for sync projects – for example for broadcasters.

This may not be huge news in the bigger music-industry scheme of things, but it’s an example of where the improvements will come within a sector like sync which has its own set of challenges and logistical barriers. Partnerships, small steps and a gradual easing of the fiendishness.
